Dr. Sarah Olivo is a licensed clinical psychologist with over 20 years of experience in the field. She works with adolescents, young adults, and families affected by OCD, anxiety, and related disorders. Dr. Olivio has extensive training in evidence-based treatment methods and works to connect with her clients on a personalized level. She combines humor and authenticity with research-backed methods to help her clients achieve their goals. Her primary modalities include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure-Based Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (E/RP), and the parent-based treatment program SPACE. She also integrates in techniques from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) as necessary.
Dr. Olivo obtained her MA and PhD at Boston University, completed her internship at Bellevue Hospital in New York, and served as a postdoctoral associate at the Child Study Center at NYU. While in the Northeast, Sarah also served on faculty at NYU and Weill Cornell Medical Centers. In addition to providing therapeutic services, she has a background working across the industry of psychology, developing and leading educational programs, providing consultation, and hosting a podcast about the transition to college.
