Monica is currently pursuing her Masters of Education in Human Development Counseling at Vanderbilt University. A native Tennessean, she earned dual bachelor's degrees in Psychology and French from Middle Tennessee State University. She is passionate about evidence-based practice and has a particular interest in working with clients navigating OCD, anxiety, and related challenges.
Monica is committed to providing compassionate, effective care within a collaborative therapeutic relationship. She strives to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients feel empowered to identify unhelpful thought patterns, make meaningful behavioral changes, and build the resilience to live with uncertainty.
Outside of school and work, Monica enjoys reading, knitting, and catching indie folk shows at the Ryman with her husband. Monica is under the supervision of Courtney Bottoms Gustafson, MEd, LPC-MHSP.
