Damisha Harris is originally from Atlanta, Georgia, but Nashville has grown to become her second home over the last eight years. She recently received her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Belmont University in May 2020. Damisha is now pursuing a Master’s degree is Clinical Mental Health Counseling with an addictions specialization at Lipscomb University, where she is in her fourth semester of the program. She decided to pursue a mental health career because of the rise of mental health disorders for people in low socioeconomic communities and desire to bring access to quality and effective mental health services to those individuals. At the NOATC, Misha provides screening services for prospective clients and helps to connect them with the services they need.
Damisha recently got married during the pandemic to her husband, Joshua, and they have one son together named Zion. They enjoy watching movies, playing Uno, and taking their son to the park. She also enjoys using her creativity to create resource worksheets and other tools to give to families of those struggling with mental health disorders.
