Chris is a Licensed Master’s Social Worker (LMSW) who earned his masters degree in social work from the University of Tennessee. He has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing OCD, anxiety, and related disorders. His clinical experience includes work with individuals, families and groups. Most recently, Chris worked at the partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient levels of care with children and adolescents experiencing OCD, anxiety and related disorders.
Chris believes that the client-therapist relationship is paramount and utilizes a person first and humanistic approach. He works with clients with warmth, compassion, and positive regard. Chris is constantly motivated and encouraged by the change and progress that clients have let him witness.
Chris earned his Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Louisville. Prior to his graduate training, Chris spent over a decade in client development and business development roles. His time coaching soccer for adolescents at the club and high school levels helped shaped his career transition. Chris is trained in exposure and response prevention (ERP), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral activation (BA) and mindfulness techniques.
When Chris is not with clients, he can be found in the outdoors, running, playing tennis or soccer, enjoying a local coffee shop or restaurant, or singing with the family Westie, Aiden.
