Ashton Anselmo

Counseling Student
Ashton is a graduate student in the professional counseling program at Middle Tennessee State University with a concentration in clinical mental health counseling. They received their bachelor’s in psychology from Middle Tennessee State University as well. Ashton assisted with clinical and cognitive psychology research projects during their undergraduate degree. They have three years of experience working in community mental health agencies serving youth and their families. Ashton is a queer nonbinary person who is knowledgeable about working with LGBT+ clients. Ashton has special interests in studying anxiety, trauma, attachment theory, mindfulness, ethical non-monogamy, neurodivergence, and social justice. In their free time, Ashton enjoys backpacking, yoga, weightlifting, gardening, art, and caring for their two cats Bean and Gremlin.

Ashton is supervised by Kelly Flanagan, LPC-MHSP, and is available to see teens and adults.
